Craig Calderwood’s obsessively intricate ink drawings deal with genderqueer identity, queer sexuality, and continued attempts to “normalize” homosexuals. Including bright, intricate patterns of hidden (and sometimes blatant) symbolism, her work portrays highly personal narratives that remain universal in their empathy and agony.
